This is a genuine AAM universal joint in a 1344 or 3R series. These were common in 1980’s and newer GM 1/2 ton trucks and SUVs. These have the inside snap rings and the yokes did not have tabs to center the u-joint, they were machined flat on the inside for c-clips. This is the same as part number 12479126, but they do not come in a box.
