This is a ring & pinion gear set in a 3:55 ratio for the 8.25 rear axle found in some Dodge Dakota and Jeep applications. These were fairly common in later model Jeep Liberty’s and Grand Cherokee’s and Cherokee XJ’s. This gear set has 2 bolt patterns, a standard 3/8″ and a metric 10mm. We have sold and used many of these gears in Jeep applications, and they are good and quiet.
