This is a genuine AAM ring and pinion set in a 3:23 ratio that fits all GM 8.5 or 8.6 10 bolt differentials from 1973 and up. This includes early Camaros, 1/2 ton pickups and SUVs, Caprice, etc. In our opinion these are the best gearsets available on the market today. They tooth counts are 13 on the pinion and 42 on the ring gear. The new part number is 40108742 and the original part number was 40049439.
