ZF 5 Speed Transmission Ford S5-47 Mainshaft Reverse Gear

This is a cast iron tailhousing that fits a NV4500 5 speed transmission in the Dodge diesel trucks. This is much heavier that the factory aluminum piece and is a direct bolt on replacement. These have the 2 threaded holes on the side for the transfer case shifter, so they will fit all years.

This is a complete cluster gear assembly for the 1997 and newer NV4500 transmissions in GM and Dodge trucks with the short idler gear. Note the smallest set of teeth run all the way back to the rear bearing.

This first gear fits all NV5600 Dodge diesel 6 speed transmissions. If you have an early (2001 & older) transmission you will have to use the updated lined synchronizer ring. This syncro kit fits all Dodge NV4500 transmissions and includes 6 rings. 3-4-5 and reverse rings are brass rather than the factory fiber lined style. We have found these to work better and last longer than the original design.
