This is an aftermarket pinion nut that fits various GM applications including 1963-1978 Chevrolet Corvette. 1964-1972 GM 8.2 with the 10 bolt rear cover, 1965-1972 Chevy cars with the 12 bolt rear cover, and 1964-1980 GM 1.2 ton truck with the 12 bolt rear cover. These are an OE style nut with the tapered top and not some generic hardware store nut. It uses a 1 1/8 hex and is 7/8-16 threads per inch.
