This is an aftermarket countershaft for the AX5 5 speed transmission found in many 1988-1998 Jeep vehicles. The AX5 was in the Jeep’s with the 4 cylinder engine. This is the later style countershaft that uses a snap ring to hold the 5th gear clutch. The Jeep part number is 83506023.
